Well I finally finished!!!!
Cant remember where I got to on my last blog but have been busy.  Zotero and Mendeley not happy on the works computer or in fact my own.  I am swapping from a desktop to laptop (get me!!!) and from Windows Vista to Windows 8 -big difference so this is one I will carry on with.
I love adding things to my favourite's especially as now on an up to date browser and it adds onto a tool bar instead of into a drop down list.
Wasn't happy with delicious - opened an account but didnt like the discover page - what a load of rubbish!!!
Use # tags on my twitter account
Loved Netvibes!!!! opened a Netvibes account and will definitely speak to my Librarian about using it in the future instead of subject guides adding it to our resources.
As i said before I cant say it was the easiest thing I have ever done but it has opened up my eyes to what is available in fact I now know more that my daughter and nephew!!
I can see that there is a place for some (not all) of this info in the library workplace, maybe not  right now but   as we are moving further into the 21st Century it has to happen.

Ok - now I started to go back over some of the 'things' I wasnt sure of.

I shared a document in Slideshare but will 'play with this a little more, things are difficult in the work place, something always seem to come up when you are doing 'different' things.
I attached a  picture to Prezzi but it needs tweaking as was stated in your instructions.
I wanted to attach further pictures but have none on my work computer so sent myself some from home only they didn't want to load properly.
I now have a Flickr account,
Zotero/Mendeley - no plug ins allowed in work will continue at home - will blog about this next week when I complete all tasks.
So i am getting there - will finish next week, blogging about Zotero, Mendeley Youtube and everything else done at home.
Cant say that I have enjoyed it but maybe because I'm not adventurous with the computer, in real life I've been up in a hot air balloon, a DC3 plane and other different things but a computer.........
I have yet to see where all of these 'things' will fit into library life but time will tell.  We have a new graduate and he's full of  ideas so just maybe.....

Hi

After a long absence its time to play catch up - will be completing the rest of the challenges (things) in order to obtain my certificate.  I haven't found this course easy at all in fact quite challenging.  I am not sure of the benefits to the library yet I think that these will present themselves in the fullness of time.  some 'things' may never be used in the library context, I think it depends on how big the library is; customer base and various other issues, I'm thinking of Twitter, not sure about that at all.
So..... onward and upward to the end (bitter???) see you all soon to 'blog' about the 'things.

Hi - any of you '12 Things' people.  Am I the only one who cant get to grips with Wiki's?  Where do I start to look for examples?  Help needed please.

From my last blog - I have upgraded my personal computer from IE7 -IE9 have added Goggle Chrome opened a Twitter account and am following people and institutions (some of which will have to be discarded as they are rubbish) I have tried to get my head around RSS and TOC (ongoing) and will get to grips with Wikis.  I cant say that I am enjoying it but will continue to try.  I suppose it has expanded my knowledge of the computer itself but cannot yet see how it all 'fits' witht the library environment - but maybe all will be revealed.

I have had terrible trouble trying to get RSS sorted.  I have been unable to use the office computer because of restrictions and not having the correct browser.  But now also find I cant work at home because of the same thing.  Not sure what I am going to do about home but have asked our IT to try to help me.

I am finding this the hardest 'course' I have ever done at present - nothing seems to fit right and as for finding a link to the working environment - ?????  Maybe all will become clear at some point - I hope so
